My friend said she wanted a ring for Christmas so off I went to the jewellery shop to buy her one. Luckily a mutual friend works there so she was able to show me the type she’d like. Very helpful! I don’t have a clue about rings since I never wear them.
I noticed how pretty, colourful and delicate the packaging design is. Enjoy!
Its always harder to find a font when each letter is linked together like this. It could be worse though. When the word is on a patterned background then its really difficult. Its even more annoying when the word is written in white AND on a patterned background.
I used Photoshop to break the word up and put the sample into myfonts.com
Here are the results
I thought number 8 was a really close match. I tried it out at cufonfonts.com
How could I be sure that it is Mission Script though? I decided to upload the sample to the What The Font Forum. They got back to me very quickly.
I was right! It is Mission Script. Thanks Tecnotronic 🙂
Mission Script was created by James T. Edmondson and his friends. How awesome is that? I’d loveto make a typeface with my friends. Can’t see that happening though 😦
As you can see from all these different results it was really difficult to find a match. If your results contain different fonts every time that means you aren’t going to be able to determine which one is the real match. You can’t even whittle it down. I was actually quite surprised how difficult it was. In the end I gave up and uploaded a sample to myfonts.com I was also surprised how quickly they found it for me! Makes me wonder if it’s a human or a computer who replies to you. Tecnotronic told me the font is…
I wanted to check if Tecnotronic’s response was correct. I used typecast.com to test it. I found out the exact font is Crimson Text Normal 400 italic. We got there in the end.
I thought oooo I really like those fonts and the design in general. At a later point, I reloaded the page and the ad was there again but in a different colour:
I clicked on the ad and immediately fell in love with what I saw, see below. This website design is for a company called Create & Cultivate. I love everything about it from the fonts, to the layout, to the menu and the colour scheme. Beautiful! I am inspired to find out which fonts these are and I will post the results in the future.
‘I am 99.9% sure their logo is based on my font Linotype Franosch Medium (2002). The stroke width is identical when you place my font over their logo. All they have done is slightly stretch the characters horizontally to create their logo. The C has been flipped to create their N. The Y, they just gotten rid of the circle and extended the stroke downwards.’ Here is the diagram Max sent me which illustrates his comment:
So what do you think followers? Leave your comments below. A big thank you to Max for his contribution!!
I asked my friend Sam and he said he uses Tombow Brush pens so I’m going to go to the art shop in town, show them this post and then they can show me which pens I need. Hope they aren’t expensive. Hope I don’t find out I suck!
